The band, last night (Friday 25th May 2018), participated in the Whit Friday Marching contests in Tameside and Saddleworth. Despite only managing to compete at six of the venues and the inclement weather, the band had a great time.
Many thanks to Peter for being our guide, and to our borrowed players , Chris, Derek, Julian, Kelly, Nigel, Spike, Sue, Tanya, Val, and also Rachel and Barry after a very long drive from Coventry. Not forgetting Bill for doing the drum. Without whom we would not have managed to participate.
